Life Is Short…And Tunes For Kids Aren’t Nearly As Important As Love

I like to believe what I do, write and sing kids music, might make a difference in the lives of kids and their parents. I know it’s not a huge difference, but my tunes are for fun. Parents can play the CD(s) and watch their little boy or girl have fun singing along or dancing to the beat. And my music is designed not to “sing down” to kids, but rather to lift them up on wings of imagination.

Still, I realize it’s just music. It doesn’t replace the love and attention mom and dad. This point is clear in my mind as I think about a friend who died last week. Her kids are grown up, so at least they got to spend all their formative years with their mom. But they won’t see her again. She won’t be there to hug them when they need it. She won’t be there to have them over for Thanksgiving dinner. She won’t be there to share their joy as they have kids of their own.

In this world there’s an extremely precious commodity more limited than all the others…time.

Even though we all get mad at each other, don’t spend to0 much time on your anger. Spend much more time on love. Focus on the important things. And the others will eventually fall into place. “This, too, shall pass.”

I’d love for you to buy my tunes for kids. But only if it means you can share in the fun together. It’s much more important to me that you give of yourself. Your kids will thank you for it. Maybe not right away, but they will. I promise.

Thanks for reading, listening, and for having and loving your kids.

God bless Moms and Dads.

Stay tuned,

Lullabye Bye A Hit

The Lullabye Bye CD Is A Hit With Moms And Grandparents

The latest CD of tunes for kids I produced called “Lullabye Bye” has been declared a “hit” with moms and grandparents who’ve bought it. So far it seems that “Peppermint Pony” and “In Your Dreams” are the two favorite tunes on the CD, but others may be catching on quickly.

These tunes for kids aren’t the typical lullabies because they’re “not cutesy” as one retailer described. They don’t sing down to your kids. It’s just very nice, relaxing music…you might even find yourself dozing off when you put on the CD for your kid’s nap time. ;-)

If you haven’t already had a chance to check out the samples, please give ‘em a listen. And even if you’re not ready to buy a CD for your kid, grandkid, or friend’s kid…please keep it in mind. Kid’s love ‘em…at least until they fall asleep.

Stay tuned,

The Lullabye CD of Kids Music Is Here

Alright! I finished 10 new tunes, and I really like ‘em. The reason I say that is because very often when I write new stuff, I’m ready to move right to the next project to see if I can find that tune I didn’t “get”.

This CD is different. I’m enjoying the end results because they’ve come out the way I really wanted them to. It’s awesome when that happens. I’m thrilled to share them with you. Check out the Lullabye CD page, and you can hear samples. It would also be very cool if you’d listen and leave me a “review” in the comments section. It’s not a requirement…it would just be nice.

I composed four and “half” instrumentals and six new tunes with lyrics. You’ll hear…

  • In Your Dreams
  • Rest Easy
  • Feather Dance
  • Milky Way Bouquet
  • Now I Lay Me Down
  • Fall Fast Asleep
  • Peppermint Pony
  • LullaBye Bye
  • Blue Celtic Cloud, and
  • Drifting Off

I hope you’ll visit the samples/sales page and at least let me know what you think. Thanks for listening, and…

Stay tuned,

The Ton-O-Fun Tunes Lullabye CD is Coming Soon…

I’ve been diligently working on new tunes for the upcoming lullabye CD. It’s more than halfway done, and I’m really enjoying the process of writing, singing, producing, mixing, and compiling enough tunes for a whole new CD.

I already have a title for it…which I won’t mention yet. And I’m getting rave reviews from my wife and our tenant. So, obviously I have a hit on my hands. :-)

Just to pique your curiosity I’m inserting some lyrics to one of the new tunes. It’s called “Blue Celtic Cloud”. I just wrote and produced it yesterday. And I’m working on another one today. Please tell all your friends and family to check out the Tunes For Kids website. It would be great to have your support for this and other projects. Now, here are the lyrics. Feel free to comment or email me with your feedback.

Kids Music Can Say The Darndest Things

It’s a blast writing kids music because I can let my imagination run wild, and they love it. Take the video, below, for instance. It’s a tune called “Stop Buggin’ Me”, and it shows bugs and creepy, crawly things, and kids love to hear it. How funny.

If you’ve ever heard your kids, or someone else’s kids, or if you ever heard yourself when you were a kid say “stop buggin’ me”, then watch this video and see if you can relate. The song is on the “Kiddin’ Around” CD.

As I mentioned in my last post, “The Peppermint Pony” is complete. I even added a couple of tracks just for my own fulfillment, and I think you’re gonna enjoy it. I’ll also have a tune called “Ditty”. It’s an instrumental that may remind you of the wind-up teddy bears, if you’re old enough to remember those.

And there’ll be around 8 more, so I won’t go into ‘em yet. Just watch for the announcement, and tell me to hurry up.  ;-)

Lullabyes…by Popular Demand

Well, maybe not “demand”, but I just finished recording another lullabye for the upcoming CD of sleepy time tunes for kids. You may recall the lyric contest recently, and a few writers contributed to the song “The Peppermint Pony”. It’s officially now a tune going on this next CD. Initial reviews give it multiple “thumbs up”.

There’ll be about 10 new tunes on the CD, and each one is specially designed to rock-a-bye your kid. I’ll let you know when it’s available.

Kids Music Notes: Lullabyes

Sweet Dreams Are Made Of…?

Whether you’re a new mom (or dad) or you have a few little kids around the house you probably really appreciate the “down” time. You know…the time when the little “angel” falls asleep, and you can just be an adult and enjoy the peace and quiet. Right?

Well, what makes your little “sunbeam” flicker out and drift off to DreamTown?

What takes your tyke to Snoozeland?

And if you could suggest to a songwriter an idea for a lullabye…what would it be?

Here’s the place and the songwriter. Ton-O-Fun Tunes is adding a lullabye CD to the collection very soon. I’ve written a few new lullabyes, and I need to add a few more, so comment below or email me any ideas you’d like to hear put to music. This new kids music will be soft and melodic so little kids, infants, and toddlers will relax, calm down, and fall asleep when you want them to.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you, and thanks for your support.

Stay tuned,

tonysig2

P.S. Be sure and get the “In This World” CD…what are you waiting for? These tunes for kids are actually good for the whole family. Your kids will love ‘em.
