Keep Your Kids Healthy And Happy

I write kids music, and I don’t even have any kids. My wife and I didn’t receive that blessing although we have received the blessing of being around some of the most fantastic kids on the planet.

Let me name some: Alina, Kiralee, Hannah, Curtis, Benjamin, Caleb, Moriah, Archer, Dominic, Lili, Isaiah, David, Ava, Grace, Dillon, Mary, Daniel, Guenon, Emma, Annaleah, Colton, Nicole, Zoe, Samantha, Melanie, Joshua, Preston, Simon, Jaden, and Azure.

Those are the ones we interact with. There have been many others who we’ll probably never even meet, but we’re thankful each and every kid is here on the planet with us. And I’m writing this post about something near and dear to my heart…Food.

Think about nutrition, vitamins, and food for just a minute.

Where do vitamins originally come from? And where does nutrition start? That’s right…food. I’ve never been able to kick the habit of having to eat each and every day. But I don’t really want to either. I love food. I’ll be the first (or second) to admit I don’t always eat what’s best for me, but it is a high priority in my life.

For some years now, probably due to a “doctor’s procedure” I have difficulty swallowing. As long as it’s succulent food or food with good oils I’m OK. But give me “white meat chicken, turkey, or pork”, and I’ll be at the table long after everyone else is done.

So you’re asking “Tony, why are you telling me this?” I’m glad you asked. I can’t swallow typical vitamins without chewing them. And 99% of worthwhile vitamins taste horrible. I know for a fact! That’s why Elgielene and I have begun to study the benefits of investing in…you guessed it…Food.

We’re making the switch back to basics. I’ll mention more details in upcoming posts. But let me recommend that you start looking into excellent foods for your kids. Think of it as an investment where you’ll reap the dividend of going the doctor much less. And you won’t be overworking your kid’s internal organs with processed vitamins.

Just some Food For Thought on a Monday afternoon…

Stay tuned,
