My Ton-O-Fun Tunes Kids Music Will Be Downloadable Soon

People have been asking me for a long time if I’ll ever have my kids music available as a digital download.

Well, shazzam…it’s almost ready. I’ve created a digital version of three CD’s available as one convenient download. And I’m expecting the new product to be ready in the next week or so. You can read all about it on the new digital download page, HERE, but as of today it’s still in “test” mode. You can’t actually complete a credit card purchase of it online yet.

In this new digital version you’ll find tunes from “Kiddin’ Around”…”In This World”…and “Lullabye Bye”. I can’t include digital downloads of the personalized CD in this version because there are too many different names to make it feasible. However; I’m working on making each individual song for each personalized CD available. So keep your eyes and ears open for that. I may have my own iTunes style kids music page. Or it may even be on iTunes. Like I said…I’m working on it.

So…thanks for your support, and I hope you’re having a great time in preparation for Christmas and the New Year.

Stay tuned,

Kids Music Even Adults Like

Compliments Are Great Motivators

Over the past month or so I’ve received a bunch of very nice compliments about my kids music. And they’ve come from the adults. And they haven’t been telling me how much the kids love the songs. They’ve told me how much they actually enjoy the music. That’s really cool. My goal has always been to write kids music that isn’t obnoxious to adults. So, these comments have confirmed I’m on the right track.

Now…why is this a big deal?

I’m glad you asked.

I want to give my target market what they want. Every internet marketing guru will tell that’s the key to online success. More importantly it’s the way to keep my “peeps” happy and coming back to see what’s new.

And I’m still working on some new kids music. It’s a top secret project. Only those closest to me have any idea I’m working on it. Oops…I guess the cat’s out of the bag now, huh?!  Oh well, you still don’t know what the music’s about or what kind of tunes I’m writing. You’ll have to come back and visit regularly to find out.

In the meantime…here are the lyrics to another tune off the Lullabye Bye CD. It’s called “Now I Lay Me Down”.

Kids Music To Help Kids Rest Easy

Rest Easy Dear Child

Kids Music Notes has been a bit on hiatus. I’ve been composing new kids music and I performed a few times, too.

But that’s no excuse to let things go. And last time I posted I said I’d be inserting the lyrics to the “Lullabye Bye” tunes. The first song was called “In Your Dreams”. You can find it in the post just prior to this one. So…next up I’ve got “Rest Easy”. Be sure to give ‘em a listen. You can do that by clicking here.

I’ll make this a short post and start gathering some info for you I think you’ll be very interested in.

Sharing Lyrics To The Lullabye Bye CD

I’ve had a lot of requests to share the lyrics to the new CD of lullabies. First, let me say…if you’ve bought the CD, you should have the lyrics included on the actual disk. Slip it into your computer (Mac or PC) and you’ll find a file called “lyrics book”. Once you open it, you’ll find the lyrics to all the tunes on the “Lullabye Bye” CD.

That being said…I’m still gonna post the lyrics here for anyone interested in what they would hear (and what their kids would hear) once they buy the CD. The first tune on the CD is called “In Your Dreams”.

It’s kind of a jazzy, somewhat upbeat tune, but it starts getting a little guy or girl in the mood for heading off to Dreamtown. You can hear a sample of “In Your Dreams” from the Lullabye Bye CD here.

And here are the lyrics:

Now That’s What I Call “Catchin’ Some ZZZZ’s”

Meggan Harper of MegganHarper.com has a very cool photo that “has been chosen as a finalist in Photographer’s Forum’s Annual Spring Photography Contest. It will be published in the hardcover book Best of Photography 2009!”

You can see much more of her great work on her website in a Flash slideshow. I’m adding the photo here on my Tunes For Kids blog, and I hope she won’t mind. I just think you’ll get a kick out of this cute little baby who’s oblivious to her new-found fame. Hey…nap time is essential…not fame.

If you have any cute baby photos or little kid photos you’d like to share and feature here on my website, you can Email Me Here. I’ll see what I can do. In the meantime, I need to get back to the task of writing some new tunes for kids.

Lullabye Bye Seems To Be A Hit

I’d really be interested to know what you think about my latest CD of kids music. It’s called “Lullabye Bye”, and you guessed it…it’s a lullabye CD.

Now, these aren’t lullabies in the classical sense of the word. I’ve kept them very contemporary and even with a little bit of a beat. But they pulsate like the beat of a mother’s heart when the little one is falling asleep on her chest. And they tick like a friendly clock in the corner of the room.

Please listen to the samples on the Lullabye CD page, and then come back to this page and leave me your comments, feedback, or general review of any or all the tunes. If you comment and insert your email address, I’ll send you a free MP3. There’s no obligation to buy. It’s just my way of taking a poll so I’ll know what to focus on or away from.

Thanks, in advance, for your help, and

Kids Are Windows To Perfection

This Life Isn’t Perfect

Just because this life isn’t perfect doesn’t mean we can’t capture little glimpses of perfection. I just so happen to see it in kids.

I’m talking about kids who are still young enough to be gleeful at just being picked up and spun around in the air. Kids who scream with delight at the slightest tickling of their little ribs. Kids who smile because you make a funny noise or say something contrary to what they think is right. Like telling them the sky is white and clouds are blue.

These very kinds of things happened just yesterday as a matter of fact. I spent one day of the Independence Day holiday weekend in the mountains with my wife and a couple of dozen of our friends. The kids I’m talking about are Kiralee, Hannah, Curtis, and Isaiah.

Now, I fully realize not every kid is gonna be as good as these were, but they’re the example I’m talking about. The innocent, loving, joyful, exhuberant kids who love life. I tossed ‘em, swirled ‘em, sat ‘em on my lap and made funny faces…tickled ‘em, teased ‘em with goofy words and facial expressions, and changed the colors and names of things of the world. And they kept coming back for more with smiles on their faces.

I could look into those faces and get a glimpse of perfection. And I know there’s a Creator because something so special…so wonderful couldn’t be just some goofy accident.

I’m grateful for the interaction with these special creatures because they give me a ton-o-fun ideas for more Kids music. Thanks kids…I owe you more than you know. But I’ll have to repay with another toss into the air…next time.

Stay tuned,

tonysig2

P.S. Kids music is the most fun. Your kids will love you even more if you get them their very own CD. Okay…maybe that’s a little over the top, but try some of my tunes and see if you don’t get some extra smiles. I think you will.

Kids Music And More?

Is Kids Music The Only Thing A Songwriter Should Consider?

I’m working on some ideas for other products for kids, and I’ll announce it when things are more concrete. Do you think I should stay focused on CD’s of kids music? The reason I ask is because the other products are audio, but they’re not specifically songs.

Any input you’d like to give me is appreciated. That’s it for now.

Life Is Short…And Tunes For Kids Aren’t Nearly As Important As Love

I like to believe what I do, write and sing kids music, might make a difference in the lives of kids and their parents. I know it’s not a huge difference, but my tunes are for fun. Parents can play the CD(s) and watch their little boy or girl have fun singing along or dancing to the beat. And my music is designed not to “sing down” to kids, but rather to lift them up on wings of imagination.

Still, I realize it’s just music. It doesn’t replace the love and attention mom and dad. This point is clear in my mind as I think about a friend who died last week. Her kids are grown up, so at least they got to spend all their formative years with their mom. But they won’t see her again. She won’t be there to hug them when they need it. She won’t be there to have them over for Thanksgiving dinner. She won’t be there to share their joy as they have kids of their own.

In this world there’s an extremely precious commodity more limited than all the others…time.

Even though we all get mad at each other, don’t spend to0 much time on your anger. Spend much more time on love. Focus on the important things. And the others will eventually fall into place. “This, too, shall pass.”

I’d love for you to buy my tunes for kids. But only if it means you can share in the fun together. It’s much more important to me that you give of yourself. Your kids will thank you for it. Maybe not right away, but they will. I promise.

Thanks for reading, listening, and for having and loving your kids.

God bless Moms and Dads.

Lullabye Bye A Hit

June 1, 2009 - 3:00 pm No Comments

The Lullabye Bye CD Is A Hit With Moms And Grandparents

The latest CD of tunes for kids I produced called “Lullabye Bye” has been declared a “hit” with moms and grandparents who’ve bought it. So far it seems that “Peppermint Pony” and “In Your Dreams” are the two favorite tunes on the CD, but others may be catching on quickly.

These tunes for kids aren’t the typical lullabies because they’re “not cutesy” as one retailer described. They don’t sing down to your kids. It’s just very nice, relaxing music…you might even find yourself dozing off when you put on the CD for your kid’s nap time. ;-)

If you haven’t already had a chance to check out the samples, please give ‘em a listen. And even if you’re not ready to buy a CD for your kid, grandkid, or friend’s kid…please keep it in mind. Kid’s love ‘em…at least until they fall asleep.
